Neuropsychological Evaluation
Dr. Hogan’s 3 step process
Initial Parent Meeting
Initial meeting
Parents only for child evaluations
Parents and young adults together for college age evaluations
Parents will be asked to complete a developmental history and consent form prior to the initial appointment as well as bring relevant school, medical, or private evaluations, IEP or 504 plans as well as end of the year report cards to the parent meeting
Parents and teachers will be asked to complete various rating scales to gather information about the child’s behavior across settings
If your child takes any medication, please consult with Dr. Hogan to see if testing should be completed on or off medication
Evaluation Appointment
Testing with the child, teen, or young adult is one-on-one with Dr. Hogan and typically takes between 4-8 hours across one or several sessions depending on the referral question(s)
Evaluation Appointments are weekdays from 8:00am-3:00pm
Parents are asked to bring the child along with necessary items such as glasses, hearing aids/FM system, food, and drinks and remain on site for consultation and support during the evaluation day
Feedback Session
The results of the evaluation are available to be reviewed in detail with Dr. Hogan approximately 3 weeks after the evaluation day and/or after all data has been collected
If parents wish for their teens to learn the results directly from Dr. Hogan, a separate feedback session can be arranged
